Tadbeere Falah o Najat o Islah English Translation Prospects for Recovery

Tadbeer-e-Falah o Najat o Islah (translated as Prospects for Recovery) is a significant epistle written by the eminent Islamic scholar Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan al-Baraylawi in February 1913. Originally authored in Urdu, the book was written as a response to a query regarding the Ottoman Turkish crisis and the widespread suffering of Muslims during the Balkan Wars and the Italian-Turkish War. In this work, Alahazrat calls for deep introspection among Muslims, attributing their contemporary decline and humiliation to the neglect of their religion and the abandonment of the "reins of Faith". To address these challenges, he proposes a visionary four-point program for the upliftment and recovery of the Muslim community. Notably, the book is recognized for being among the earliest modern works to advocate for the establishment of Islamic banks, providing specific methods and "workarounds" (hilah shar'iyyah) from Islamic jurisprudence to avoid interest-based transactions.
